I had the pleasure of coordinating the Rowing Liberty League Championship Broadcast alongside Cameron Strong in Saratoga Springs, NY, with a fantastic team of a dozen students from Park Productions Drone Squad.
Contracted by the Liberty League, our student team led the full production of the championship broadcast. We arrived on Thursday afternoon to begin setup and testing. Over the course of a little more than three weeks of planning, we successfully implemented two drones operating simultaneously, a bonded cellular side boat camera, a finish line camera, a custom graphics package by Ted Dougherty, two commentators, and a shoreline reporter using a bonded cellular camera. A huge thank you to our entire student crew for their adaptability, teamwork, and dedication in making the broadcast a success.
This would not have been possible without the support of the Director of Park Productions Devan Accardo, Liberty League - Commissioner Tracy King & Associate Commissioner Katie Meline, Saratoga Rowing Association Director of Regattas and Community Liaison Caitlin Alaynick, Skidmore Rowing Head Coach Emanuel Valentin, Ithaca College Men's Rowing Head Coach Justin Stangel and the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College.
Looking forward to continuing to improve our broadcasts in the future!
